The Art of Healing Touch

The word “massage” comes from the French and means "friction of kneading", which, in turn, comes from the Arabic word “massa” meaning "to touch, feel". Massage has been found in many ancient civilizations and dates back to 2330 B.C.: The Tomb of Akmanthor in Egypt depicts two men having work done on their feet and hands, presumably massage.

Peer-reviewed medical research has shown that the benefits of massage include

  • pain relief, reduced trait anxiety, and depression

  • temporarily reduced blood pressure, heart rate, and state of anxiety

  • increase and expedited recovery periods for muscle performance

There is no need to choose as I customize a massage style that fits your unique needs and preferences. Different techniques and varied levels of pressure are integrated to improve circulation, reduce stress and ease chronic pain patterns.
